I bought two APC UPS 1500va's for my two imacs. The UPS's are sitting on the carpeted floor on either side of my desk. Someone told me I need anti-static mats to protect the UPS's.
My question is... Do I need the mats?
Dave

No. All APC consumer devices are tested to ensure they survive typical static discharges. I'm not involved in that aspect but I'm guessing it's also a UL or CE requirement.
