Is there a way to backup and restore the configuration file for a Back-UPS BG500? After having to restart (to factory settings) the UPS to troubleshoot some issues, it can be really tedious to find and remember all of the configuration changes I made. Any ideas on how to access the config. file and back it up and restore it?
Thanks!

I don't have a BG500 to test with but I think you may be able to FTP into the BG500, download the config.ini file. Then later you can upload it by FTP to restore settings.

Hi,
You are correct. You can ftp to the unit, download the config.ini file to edit it then ftp it back.

Thanks. I managed to view and download a copy of config.ini using Filezilla today from inside my LAN.
Just a followup question....Is there any reason from an APC point of view why I could not FTP into the BG500 from the WAN? I am able to log in from the WAN but not FTP to it?
Thanks again for the assist!

Not to my knowledge. Getting FTP to pass through NAT can be tricky because it makes a second connection to send data when not in passive mode.
