We have a lot of Smart UPSs and was wondering if we can remotely find out RBC installed in UPS so we do not have to make a site trip to get the model of the UPS. ( SNMP / HTTP solutions will work )
Using SNMP I can find out the model of UPS but it doesn't seem to be accurate.
e.g.
apc.products.hardware.ups.upsIdent.upsBasicIdent.upsBasicIdentModel.0 : DISPLAY STRING- (ascii): Smart-UPS 2200 RM
is returned for a SUA 2200 rm2u and apparently takes a different RBC than the 2200 RM
system.sysDescr.0 : DISPLAY STRING- (ascii): APC Web/SNMP Management Card (MB:v3.6.4 PF:v2.5.0 PN:apc_hw02_aos_250.bin AF1:v2.5.1 AN1:apc_hw02_sumx_251.bin MN:AP9619 HR:A10 SN: ZA0451011611 MD:12/19/2004) (Embedded PowerNet SNMP Agent SW v2.2 compatible)
If I need to upgrade firmware on the card I just need to know. Any help would be appreciated.

There is no way to pull the actual RBC model # via web or SNMP, or any other method for any single phase UPS other than a Symmetra LX. If you had a Symmetra LX, we could give you the OID for pulling the model of the batt.

Thank you for contacting the APC Forum Vikas.
Unfortunately we do not have any tool/ software (SNMP, Web, TelNet or Terminal Emulation) that would retrieve what kind of batteries a certain UPS have. The only way that you can retrieve this is by getting the exact model number of your UPS and then look it up on the APC website.
