Brand New BN1500M2 F02 Error

I plugged in my new BN1500M2 UPS without first connecting the battery. I was immediately greeted with an F02 "On-Battery Output Short" error which suggests something I plugged into it is shorted. But no devices had been plugged into it.

Then I read the manual, unplugged the unit, connected the battery, plugged it back in and everything was fine. Ran self-test. Fine.

Does F02 also occur when battery is disconnected? Is there anything I should be concerned about here?

Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused @M.Sqrl.  Since you were able to reset it, I suggest that you observe and monitor the behavior of the UPS.  As far as I remember, F02 occurs when the output relay closes/gets shorted when the UPS runs on battery due to a bad load or internal component failure.

In some cases that I have handled before, the output relay was engaged/stuck during shipping.
