If the battery dies does the master plug stop working on a BE750G-CA?
the error message was there was an internal fault.
Sorry I don't have more info as I had a hard disk failure a while back and forgot to reload Powershute.
the unit is at least 4 years old.
The battery shows about 6 volts. So has not recharged.
Was beeping at about 3 to 4 second intervals.
I wondering if I should replace whole unit or just battery. Don't wish to spend money on battery if will not solve problem.
Thanks

the beeping every few seconds sounds like a charger fault to me (which requires UPS replacement). has it been sitting turned off for a while? how long did you leave it turned on (or off) and plugged in? did you see any LEDs?
also, i am assuming you meant BE750G-CN for the model you have as -CA is not valid.
if it were me, i'd take a quick look at the user's guide here and see if any of the audible/visual indicators match up with what you witnessed.
for UPSs of this size, it may be worth while to trade the unit in and get a discount on a new one. because the batteries can be almost as costly as a new unit, it is a good idea to consider it so you get a new unit with a new battery and new warranty. that way, if we don't know the root cause and you try a battery first, we don't have to worry about it not helping. if interested, here is some trade UPS info.
