If the error you stated is accurate and correct it has nothing to do with the battery per say. That error indicates the battery compartment and battery is too hot.
If you have APC Power Chute (PCBE / PCSS) software connected to a computer system you will be able to see and confirm the above.
Let me know what the system indicates is the battery temperature along with calling out the event data logs. 👍
NOTE: You can easily check if the unit is too hot by placing a fan in the front of the unit. If the active temperature fault goes away you need to move the unit, increase the cooling, reduce the temperature in that specific location! ☝️
