i installed the latest version of winapcupsd on Windows 2008 server.
set the config file to use usb cabling.
winapcupsd can't communicate with UPS.
has anyone gotten a BackUPS-1300 to communicate with winapcupsd?

that worked. thanks much.
the install mentioned something about it as it couldn't install the driver, and of course i forgot to look at install.txt

Bill,
Did you install the apcupsd USB driver? Communication will not be established if the driver is not available. Instruction for installing the USB driver can be found in C:\apcupsd\driver\install.txt assuming you installed to the default folder.
