Hi.
I think that I've somehow accidentally disabled the 2-week automatic self test on my Back-UPS XS1200. I was using the power button on the front to perform a self test. I must have held the button in for too long, but I'm not sure.
Does anyone know what the sequence of button presses is to enable/disable the automatic two week self test is for these units?
Thanks!

Interesting, to my knowledge we haven't released any BackUPS wherein the automatic self-test every 2 weeks can be disabled. Though you have said that you might have disabled the auto self-test, does it still perform a self test when you turn it on, manually using the button or software?
Can you manually run a self-test and then wait after 2 weeks to see if it will run automatically?

I can perform a self test with either the button or the software. I'll have to wait two weeks and see what happens.
If there is a power failure, and the ups switches to battery, does that reset the self-test timer? If so, that might be why I don't see the self test happening.
Also, what's the proper way to power off the UPS?

If the UPS switches to battery mode it shouldn't reset the day when the last Self Test was performed. Self-test makes the UPS run on a different mode. With regards to the proper way of powering off the UPS, just make sure that the load are all off before you press the Off button on the UPS.

When turning off...
I have no "Off" button, so I'm not sure what you mean. Can you please clarify how to turn off the UPS? I only have a single power button on the front panel.
Thanks.

That single button that you see is the On and Off button of the UPS.
