My ups still works, when the power goes out it holds the charge for 14 minutes on my computer, but it will some times start a continuous beep.

How do I make it stop?

I dont see any error messages on the lcd, I do see 6 "events." the charge was at 16 minutes, the load 33% and 119v in and out

I dont have powerchute on, though i can read on the screen it says 3 errors. the percentage load is 33%. time on battery says 14 minutes and it does actually last that long. The beeping was continuous for about 45 minutes then stopped. If I unplug it, it does not continuously beep on battery power. but when I plug it in, after a few seconds it started up again. Did the same thing yesterday afternoon for about an hour.

How old is the UPS? Do you see the overload indicator lit up whenever you hear that continuous beep? What do you have connected on this UPS? Have you tried turning the UPS on without any load? When does it beep, Online or On Battery? Both?

What do you have connected on this UPS? I have a computer attached only computer is 4 years old. was a very nice computer at the time.

Have you tried turning the UPS on without any load? no, but most times i dont get the beep, like i said last few days it has beeped in the afternoon for about an hour, a continuous sound.

When does it beep, Online or On Battery? Both? when on battery only i get no continuous beep. i can unplug the ups from the wall when it is beeping and the beeping will stop. it will run fine on battery for 15 minutes. when i plug it back in it comes back after a fews seconds. then suddenly the noise will stop on its own after close to an hour.

Odd issue...if possible, could you please check the LCD screen display when the unit is beeping continuously? Do you see any fault code during beep?

I would also make sure that the other equipment in the room (where the UPS is located) is not beeping continuously.

I'll check next time it does the continuous beep, but I am pretty sure its coming from the same device. when I pull the plug on the ups from the wall the continuous beep stops. yet the charge is still there. my computer keeps running.

Okay, please keep us updated on this issue.

hmm...everything looks normal. If the unit is making a continuous beep when everything is normal, then I suggest you to call in the APC Customer Care Center/www.apc.com/support to get the replacement unit under factory warranty.

what i dont get, though, if it is the ups. why does the problem occur at the same time every day?

What do you have connected on the battery side and surge only side of your UPS? By any chance will you be able to install PCPE on a computer? Having this software would help us know what kind of events does the UPS see.
