I recently bought an RS 1300VA Back-UPS. However, i run it on an overclocked machine with a 750 Watt power supply running an E6850 core 2 Duo 3.GHz processor overclocked to 3.3Ghz.
The problem I'm having is that everytime I plug the desktop into the APC I get overclock failed messages. If i bypass the APC, plug into the wall or into a surge protector of another kind I do not get any messages and overclock has been workign flawlessly for 4 days now.
Is there anything I can do to still be able to USE the APC battery backup and still keep the machine overclocked?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Can you provide the serial number for the RS1300 that you have? You should be able to locate that on a white sticker on the rear of the unit.
Are you using the data cable that comes with the RS1300 to connect it to the PC?

Over clocking advances the PCI bus beyond 33Mhz. Overclocking results in increased values which can adversely effect the operation of your USB Host Controler.
Besides discontinuing the Over Clocking of your PC, I would recommend you try using the Serial cable which is compatible with this LCD UPS. You can use the Native Shutdown capability in Windows, found under Power Options and obtain the serial cable at the following link. Type in V191Z to access the cable request form. This information would be found in some of the paper work which came with your unit.
