The unit was working for about six months and I took it out of service -- now I'd like to use it again and when I plug it in, there are no lights, nobody is home.
Circuit breaker is intact, no beeps, nada.
There is power on the surge side, but nothing on the battery side, so it's basically a very expensive power strip 😞

There are a few Back-UPS models that must have a good (and charged) battery in place before they'll start up. It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure my Back-UPS RS 800 refused to power up after its batteries failed.
