Hi all!
I am using a Back-UPS RS 800 since 2009... now it is constantly beeping and the red led "replace battery" is active, so I think it's time to buy a new battery.
But I'm not sure which one I should buy, since apparently this UPS is not in production any more and the APS website is not very clear about the various battery types. Can someone help me? Which battery should I buy? Is the process of replacing it easy or difficult?
Thank you!

Hi,
That number is the serial number. The SKU or model number should be on the same sticker and will be just above the serial number.
Example:
Model Number = SUA2200
Serial Number = AS0249121637

Thanks. As per http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=br800i, you'll need an APC part # RBC32 (quantity 1) for the battery or an equivalent.
To replace it, you should just need to remove the battery cover on the bottom (I think for this unit) and undo one or two connectors at most. Should be pretty straightforward. You can always ask if you have further questions.

Sorry for the delay. Can you provide to us the exact SKU on the back or bottom of the UPS? You'll find it on a white sticker. We can verify the replacement battery for you.
