I have a Back-UPS Pro 1000 that is producing a light hum as soon as it's plugged in, even when there is nothing plugged into it. Even after it's been plugged in overnight the hum persists. There are no warning lights on the front and the batteries were replaced within the last 8 months.

any ideas? We were using this on a very small server, but i'd like to move it into anoffice if i can fix the noise issue.

May I know the serial number of the unit? Does the unit hums, even before?
