Back-UPS Pro drops to 60% almost immediately

I just bought 1500VA Sine Save UPS BR1500MS2 not long ago (~3 weeks) for backup power to my router. total load under 20W. Fully charged, as soon as I unplug, the UPS drops to 80% and then to 60%. I though maybe the battery wasn't calibrated, and followed APC guide to put 20-30% load and let the battery run and discharge and then re-charge. After that, same thing, no difference. With only slight load, the battery drops to 60 within a minute. Is this a known issue that can be dealt with?

Should I just return it while I can? Seems such a waste but this unit was not cheap. I really hoped for better quality.

Since you mentioned that you were able to put 20-30% load, was the behavior of the UPS the same?  For how long did the UPS run on battery?

I would also recommend reaching out to our Support Team and raising a ticket.
