Installed Back-UPS Pro BR1500MS2 nine months ago. Has performed fine, as has PowerChute Personal Edition (until today).
I noticed a short while ago that PowerChute cannot communicate with the UPS.
Tried various cable-related actions. Windows chimes appropriately when Back-UPS is unplugged or plugged back in.
However, when I check Windows Devices, the Back-UPS does not appear (no Batteries listed). Rebooting did not fix the problem. The Back-UPS display looks fine.
I will appreciate recommendations re how to resolve this problem.

Have you checked the connection with an app. Try USBDeview.exe See Schneider Electric FAQ283181
If the UPS dis not discovered by USBDeview reboot the PC. If that does not resolve the issue you will need to reinstall the HID UPS driver that comes included with the Windows installer.

Thank you, @BillP. (BTW, already rebooted - did not solve the problem.)
I went to the linked Schneider FAQ. Used USBDeview, which shows (for connected devices) APC USB UPS but not HID UPS Battery (which is not among the disconnected devices, either).
Even though HID UPS Battery is not present, the hidclass.sys, hidparse.sys, and hidusb.sys drivers are present in the C:\Windows\System32\drivers folder.
Do I need to reinstall those drivers, or something else? If so, where would I find them? I am running Win 10 Home v. 22H2 on a Lenovo ideacentre PC for which I have no separate Win installer.
