Hello all,
I've been running a BackUPS PRO 900 for almost 2 years, never had problems. Few days ago I moved the whole shabang to a different building and now I notice the ups is buzzing quite a lot. I understand it's supposed to buzz while charging, but after being charged, I expect it to be silent. Instead it buzzes.. now it's doing 55W so nothing much.
Is something wrong with the power circuit in this building? Or is the battery up for replacement?
Are there any troubleshooting steps I can perform before to order a new battery?
Thanks a lot

Thank you, gonna try tomorrow and report back.
I read in other threads that "two step lamp dimmers" can cause the transformer to buzz. I'm not an electrician but there are indeed two lamp dimmers in the same room; not sure what type but maybe they are the cause? They do buzz a lot by themselves....
Thanks in advance

Hi Joe,
I would recommend to perform a braindead on the UPS to see if this will fix any issues on the UPS.
To do this, follow the below procedure:
1: Disconnect any attached load.
2: Unplug the UPS from the wall socket.
3: Disconnect the UPS' internal battery.
4: Push and hold the ""On"" button on the UPS for 5 seconds
5: Reconnect internal battery.
6: Plug UPS in to known good power source.
7: Turn UPS on.
Regards,
Tom
