Solved: Back-UPS NS 600 - OK to turn unit on side?

Hi all,
I just got an APC Back-UPS NS 600 for use with a Mac. I would like to turn the UPS unit on it's side so it takes up less space.
Will this cause any problems with operation or longevity of the unit? Thanks.
