Hi there
I have some problem with my Back-Up 650 UPS. It started to chirp while I turned on the power, with the green light flashing. I have checked the user's manual ,but I didn't find the proper instruction. I tried to press the switch to turn off the power, but it didn't work. Now I have to bear the chirp sound because I have no idea to shut down the UPS.
Would you give me some advice? Thank you very much.

I'm having the same issue but with the Back-UPS 850.
Lost power for a few seconds last night, and woke up this morning with this thing blaring.
I got it to stop the constant chirp/tone by holding the power button for a few seconds.
Now my issue is no matter what I do it doesn't seem to work. If I plug it into the wall, and click the power button, it blinks green and the tone starts all over again.
Edit:
I think I got mine working again.
I unplugged everything from it
I unplugged it from the wall
I disconnected the power side of the battery (since you can't disconnect the ground)
I then plugged it back into the wall, and held the power button. It beeped once I believe.
I unplugged it from the wall
I reconnected the battery
I plugged it back into the wall and pressed the power button, and it stayed green.
After you do this leave it plugged in with nothing else connected for 5-10 hours. At least that's what I was seeing other people suggest.

Left it plugged in with nothing else connected for over 10 hours, when I unplugged it, it immediately started the long beep/tone... I clicked the power button to mute it. I plugged it back into the wall, and pressed the button and it started blinking green again, and then started the long tone... Looks like I got a faulty device and it will be going back to newegg.
