This is with a +30% load.
I have a new battery that supports the load for 15 minutes or more.
But the UPS always shows 0 minutes of runtime for the load. And, if I do a battery test by holding in the power button till it beeps twice, then I get a "low" battery indicator.
This happens even after start with a full battery and let it discharge completely under a +30% load and then let it recharge for a day. I was told that this would recalibrate the UPS, but it does not work.
Can anyone tell me how to get the UPS to recognize that it has a good battery?
(If I put on a 60 watt load, then it shows 11 minutes of runtime.)

Is this information based on what's displayed on the LCD or through PowerChute? Are there any other weird indicators? Flashing icons or anything?

On the LCD. I have never used PowerChute since I use the UPS to backup power for an computer that does not support it.
Nothing special except it shows 0 minutes of runtime. It shows a full battery icon.
When I do the battery test (by holding in the power button till it beeps twice) it show "low" and an empty battery icon during the test.

When you let it discharge completely, how long did it last? You mentioned it's a new battery - is it an APC battery, with a model and serial # sticker? Also, what's the serial number for the UPS?

It lasted 15 minutes or more with a +30% load.
It's not an APC battery pair. It's a battery pair with the same specs purchased from Battery Clinic.
The APC serial number is JB0642002675. We have had it a little over 3 years.

It should last about 30m with a 30% load (about 230w), so even that runtime seems low. Did it show the same symptoms before you replaced the batteries with those from Battery Clinic? Is it possible to test the unit with APC batteries?

That's true, though any change might be indicative of something useful - hopefully.
