BX1500 Goes to "On Battery"

As soon as I turn on the BX1500 (With freshly replaced batteries) The green light blinks, then there is a click then it goes to
On Battery"

  • I have tried several different locations and the issue occurs.
  • I have changed the Transfer Voltage and Sensitivity Adjustment, to all three settings.
  • I have tried pulling my hair out

The unit does pass through Electric to the surge only plugs as well as the battery backup plugs.  Other than going straight from "On Line" to "On Battery" it seems to work fine.

Any suggestions?

Software you can get here -> Software / Firmware and then I use the first drop down list and filter by software/firmware and choose Software Upgrades - PowerChute Personal Edition.

This UPS comes with a RJ-45 to USB cable. The RJ-45 is the connector type for the data port on the UPS and the USB end comes to your computer. It is part number AP9827 on our website for reference. Buy Simple Signaling UPS Cable - USB to RJ45 - Technical Specifications and Information | APC (it doesnt have a picture but looks like the below):

My first thought is if you use PowerChute Personal Edition (or can set it up via USB cable), that we should check the UPS input voltage and input frequency and see what it says. I am basically suggesting we should do most of the same items (which you already did besides the PowerChute part) that I outlined in this post for this user for your situation-> Issues with Back-UPS XS 1000 (BX1000)

Where can I get PowerChute Personal Edition?  By setting it up via USB, do you mean USB Seriall cable?
