Hi,
We have this BX-1400 ups and we want to shut off the ups completely after MAINS off. The ups setting is hibernating our PC but we want after that to completely shut off it self even if it has a few watts load in its output (a small switch and another device operating)
We dont want to drain battery. Is there a way to do that?
NOTE: the APC back-ups 550 model (BR line) completely shuts off it self after 4-5 secs of MAINS off. We would like to avoid changing our UPS but if that option is only available on the BR line models like 550 or 900 etc then we will have to switch UPS.
Thank you

Hi,
Is the connect PC running PowerChute Personal Edition? If so when the software tells the OS to power down it sends a kill power signal to the UPS. The UPS will wait 2 minutes and then kill power to all outlets. When AC is restored the UPS will power the outlets back up.
