Hello I've just recently bought my 1000va ups and I have some concerns.
1. The led found on the power button is always at static yellow, what does that mean? is it related to an ungrounded socket?
2. The UPS seems to be hot even when not in use but plugged in.
3. There's a funky smell from the UPS especially during the first day of use ~ I've read online and it says that it has something to do with the thermal paste just initially spreading ~ I'd like to confirm this.
4. Lastly, in relation to 1. I've also read online that the yellow static indicator might be pertaining to the power source as "not good" which means that it's supplying the load using its battery. Does this shorten the lifespan of the battery?
I also accidentally plugged the UPS on a socket without the battery connector being connected at the back for 4-5 hrs before I realized it. Will that cause any damage to the UPS?
I really hope someone will be able to answer my inquiries 🥺. That's all, thank you ❤️

This forum looks dead. I'm also having the same issues. I'm using 800va and the other issue I have is that there are times it beeps continuously and automatically shutdowns after some time. According to the manual, I believe this is an overheating problem if not overload, but my issue is that this has never happened before. I bought my unit last July this year and the problem started just this week.
1. my LED power button is also static yellow and does not blink when my UPS starts beeping
2. Mine is also the same. It's charging the battery when plugged in even if it's not turned on so heating might be normal.
3. I'd like to confirm this as well though the smell on my unit is now gone after using it for months
4. I'd also like to confirm this, I really hope someone answers our questions.
By the way, I don't know if the website is malfunctioning, I can't create my own post in this forum. Can anyone help?
