Dear All,
I just got a new APC BR900GI http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=BR900GI for my NAS (QNAP TS-210).
I got it also thinking to plug the iMac (27" i7 mid 2011) in the master plug of the UPS.
Reading online just now I got a bit concerned because someone says that Back-UPS, with a stepped approximation to a sine-wave, is not recommended to be used with iMac.
What happens if I connect the iMac to the UPS, and it has to run with battery?
Can I damage the iMac?
Is there any one who already have a similar UPS and has no problem with the iMac?
Thank you for your advices,
dk
