The load on my BR1500MS is small (only the first bar is lit in the load display). Yet, when a complete power outage occurred last night, the BR1500 was reporting that the remaining battery power was already at 64%. About three minutes later, I shut the computer down, and power was restored about 20 minutes later. Now, 12 hours later, the battery level has climbed to only 78%, according to what my Mac is reporting. However, the BackUPS battery capacity display indicates full. There are no indications of any errors; the display is normal.
The BR1500MS was put into service in my home office on October 17, 2018 using the battery the unit shipped with. I always follow instructions in setting up equipment like this, and power outages are rare. But I was awakened by the BackUPS alert several days ago when a power outage occurred. But it lasted no longer than 10 minutes, because the computer did not shut down (as I have configured it to).
Now, in the 20 minutes it has taken to compose and revise this post, the battery level has not gone any higher than 78%.
Is there something I can do to get the battery back to 100%?
Thanks.

It's now about 6 hours since I posted this issue, and my Mac was still reporting the charge level at only 78%.
So, just out of curiosity, I disconnected the USB cable between the BackUPS and the computer for a few seconds then reconnected it. The Mac now shows the battery has a full charge.
Why would this discrepancy exist? I can't determine if the computer is giving me false information.
