Can I get some help selecting a UPS for the following Industrial application?
I intend to use a contactor (electro-mechanical switch) as a backup shut off for some critical motors.
When the contactor is first energized, its coil draws 700 volt-amps at 120V for 1 cycle (17 millseconds). Then it draws 46 volt-amps.
I have 4 of these units on the same UPS operating simultaneously.
What would the minimum size UPS be?
Thanks

how much on battery runtime do you need? what plug types on the input for the UPS and output of the UPS do you need? do you need something rackmountable? depending on these questions, you'd probably be looking at something around a 3000VA unit maybe for (4) or maybe something a little larger once we find out the other details.
