Technology columnist, Bill Husted, discusses "must have" home PC devices, including a USB flash drive, router and UPS. Husted recommends the APC brand UPS, stating "they're easy to find at stores and work great." Husted is currently trying out the new APC Back-UPS RS 1500 LCD.

sorry to bother you, but last night i forgot to unplug the power cord between the computer and the UPS;
my "Back UPS CS 650 VA" was OFF, so have I fried the DDR2 modules?
(I removed them from the sockets). Everything seems to work just fine, now,
but I wonder was there any voltage on the MotherBoard with the UPS OFF, and the power cable still connected?

The UPS was turned off by myself; So I am pretty shure your second sentence spreads the light over:
my MoBo has seen NO electric, and is OK; my DDR chips were never toasted, although I removed them, and put them back on; they're just fine,but i really didn't have any ideea about the electrical output of the UPS when in an OFF state;
it was just a nagging ideea;
