APC H15 Power Conditioner Surge Protection Question

This question was originally posted by Jason on APC forums on 6/24/2013

I've had this for a year and a half and was wondering if I am able to tell once the MOV's are worn out? I know some devices have a protection "working" light but this one does not. Im in a pretty storm happy area so just curious how I'll know if the surge elements are "worn" out.
