Hello guys,
I need to understand if I am right on this : I bought battery replacement cartridge for my APC Back UPS Pro 900 (exact model BR900G-GR). When inserted for first time it was not pre-charged, 0% showing on Power Chute. I noticed on the glued paper date 6/19/2024 Battery qualification test which means battery is from 6th month sitting on the store I bought from.
Problem is UPS can not charge the cartridge till 100%. I tried to charge with my car battery charger 4 hours each battery. I re-inserted to UPS and still does not reach 100%.
Should I keep the battery or return it?

Submit a RMA with APC Technical Support. Have on hand the purchase receipt, serial number, and brief description of the problem.
Once they have you complete a few tasks to confirm it’s the battery they will ship out a new one. 👍
As an aside some of the steps they will have you complete are these so do them now if they haven’t.
Battery: Update the battery installation date.
Self Test: Once the battery is at least 90% initiate a self test.
Battery Calibration: Ideally the battery would be at 100% SOC. Regardless, ensure there is at least 30% attached load and use PCPE to manually initiate a battery calibration.
Once complete let the system recharge the cartridge this can take 24-72 hours to fully charge.
What does both PCPE and the LCD indicate?!?
