APC Back UPS Pro 1500 S - new battery

I've replaced the battery in Back UPS Pro 1500 S, but the battery indicator is still blinking.  Is the new battery bad too?

You’ll need to update the battery installation date through the APC Power Chute software either PCPE / PCSS.

As doing so resets the internal counters and charging tables if applicable.

Once updated with the new month / year manually initiate a (Self Test). Once complete let the battery recharge to 100% SOC.

Than follow up by manually initiating a battery calibration through PCPE / PCSS software with at least 30% attached load.

That didn't work.  Every time I press the "Replace Battery Date" button it asks if I want to replace today's date.

The Power Chute software has a message at the bottom of the screen stating "Battery in UPS is disconnected". I know this new APC battery is connected correctly.

I've tried "Run Self-Test" but the button is greyed out

What is the voltage of the battery while not connected to the UPS?!? What is the voltage when it’s connected and the system is powered and turned on?!?

Please show me the tab that shows the battery charging state in Power Chute Software.

Show me a picture of this new battery. Take pictures of anything that has a label / silk screen as I’m looking for the production date.

What is the history of this so called new battery?!?

You’ll need to take a meter and measure the battery voltage while disconnected from the system. Take another measurement while connected to the system to see if the unit is charging the cell.

Based on the receipt the battery is only a few months old since production.
