Is there anyway to remotely monitor the APC BP 1000 model UPS through Powerchute or other software?
I am currently using a 9 pin COM port to USB cable to monitor the UPS directly with Powerchute by the PC I have attached to it, but want to remotely monitor it by Zenoss (or similar) software if I could.
Does anyone know if that is possible?
Thank you.

which version of powerchute are you using? this model of UPS is designed for home use so it does not have the capability for a network management card or a lot of SNMP support. something like this might be your only option -> http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2789
but it is my understanding that the UPS you have only supports simple signaling. can you confirm this by checking the part number of the cable you are using? this means you'd only be able to get information like if the UPS is on battery, has a low battery, or has turned off. i could be wrong though if you are using the smart signaling cable (940-0024 or 940-1524) and getting more info.

I am using the simple 940-0020 so it can not do what I want it to do.
Thank you for answering my question.
