unable to download firmware upgrades

Hello everybody,

I'm facing an issue to download a firmware upgrades for AP7953.

When I click on Switched & Metered Rack Power Distribution Unit Firmware Revision 3.9.2 => download

there is a timeout on this url => ftp://ftp.apc.com/restricted/hardware/nmcard/firmware/rpdu/392/apc_hw02_aos392_rpdu392.exe

Could you share with me this executable please "apc_hw02_aos392_rpdu392_exe" ?

See attachment to the post. (I had to put the .exe in a .zip)

Also, in case of the URL working but prompting for a password, you can use jupiter as the password and Pl@n3t#5 as password.

I have a AP7932 Rack PDU with AOS 3.9.2 & RPDU 3.9.2.

I saw info that there is a new firmware for AP79xx series but can't find it on the website. It looks as if the latest firmware for AP78xx & AP79xx is AOS 3.9.4 & RPDU 3.9.3 according too this document: https://download.schneider-electric.com/files?p_File_Name=990-3571E_EN.pdf&p_Doc_Ref=990-3517_EN&p_e...

When you put in AP7932 in the site it doesn't show any firmware.

When you put in AP79XX firmware in the search box at top you get firmware files but only up to 3.9.0.

When you put in PDU firmware in the search box at top you get 3.9.2 firmware

I can't find a way to get 3.9.3 or 3.9.4. I tried to access the ftp.apc.com or ftp.apcc.com sites but they ask for a password, I've tried jupiter and that did not work.

Is AOS 3.9.4 & RPDU 3.9.3 the latest for HW02 AP78xx & AP79xx PDUs

I searched a bit, but was not able to find the latest version of the firmware for the AP78xx units on the web pages.

But, I managed to find it elsewhere and I have made a download link available via BOX here:

Weird they're not linking them to the devices when you search for firmware for a device on the site!

Thanks for the quick reply @JonPro but I was looking for the AP78xx & AP79xx is AOS 3.9.4 & RPDU 3.9.3 Firmware in the BOX link above. That seems to patch a vulnerability but is nowhere to be found besides an article with a dead link above https://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA410359/

Please, just upload the firmware somewhere with no expiration date.

Upon further reflection, I don't think this is worth pursuing.  Even with the latest firmware, the device's cryptography is woefully out of date and shouldn't be trusted.  You're going to need to firewall it off from your main network regardless, so you may as well make it easy on yourself by leaving the security features turned off.
