particulate buildup in NetworkAIR humidifier cylinder (replaceable filter)
**EDIT**
I tore the filter down and inspected the buildup...rust! The surprising thing is that our water supply is welded stainless steel and copper... and there is no evidence in our building that there is a rust issue (toilet tanks, etc) Does the NetworkAIR system use galvanized/ or enameled steel in the system? Not getting a response from APC as of yet.
Thanks!
Is anyone else having this issue? Water is dirtying quickly, staining replacement cyl. within a week of replacement. My first guess is bacteria, but have not had the samples tested, as I am new to the pos. of DDOC here and just discovered the issue last week . The water supply is straight from a municipal source. We are using a full InfraStruXure setup with in row RCs, and one NetworkAir system. We are having low humidity warnings -37% percent, wheras our target is 50-60%, and according to the exec. mgmt here, this was also an issue until the bottle was changed out several months ago. When the problem came back last week, swapping out the bottle did not resolve it! I am thinking that the system is contaminated and therefore reducing the efficacy of the humidifier but haven't scheduled tearing it apart yet.
