galaxy vs email notification problem
Dear All,
recently i installed a galaxy vs20 (network management card 4) on our premise. i'm trying to configure email notifications, but all the tests are failing.
dns tests are successful.
my config is this:
from: aaaa@mydomain.com
notificaions->email->server: smtp server smtp.office365.com port 587 (i also tried 465, 25)
authentication enable with correct credentials
use ssl/tls. i tested all options.
require ca root certificate not enabled.
email recipient
generation enable
server i tested all options.
email test
last test result by recipient: unable to test.
initiate test: last server response: could not deliver, unknown error.
DNS resolving works fine, device is connected on a network, with internet access.

Hi power43,
I have had a similar issue.
I found the cause to be Google.
I was trying to send emails from more than one NMC and they continued to fail where it previously worked.
I found that I needed to setup an App password.
This allowed a less secure device (NMC) to email using Google as the email server.
2-step verification was turned on (Google >> Manage your Google account >> Security >> Signing in to Google)
Using App passwords...
Google > Manage your Google account > Security > App Passwords Select an App (mail in this circumstance). Select a device (I have used other and named the NMC you want notifications from UPS1 for instance). You are provided with an APP password.
Log into the NMC
Configuration > Notification > Email > Server
Use the username you use to log into your email account and the App password as the password.
