We had a momentary power outage, and afterwards the AP7951 does not respond to anything. It has a single amber light next to the two-digit display, but no lights next to the ethernet port. It doesn't respond on the serial connection either.
I've tried:
-- removing power for five minutes, then restoring it.
-- Pressing and holding the reset switch for 30 seconds.
Nothing seems to work. What is likely to be wrong? My next step will be to remove the unit from its rack and pull it apart to see if there's any obvious damage internally (we have an electronics workshop on premises).
The unit is fairly old; serial number JA0408044166.

Hi Peter,
If the LEDs on the ethernet port goes out, it is typically a hardware failure. Could be a failed internal power supply which is non user replaceable unfortunately. As far as I can see, you will need to replace it. It's more than 15 yrs old based on the serial. Maybe it's a good time to replace it.
