Hi again,
I have another question (or two) about the network power strips. We would like to be able to run a script that power cycles the outlets. Any advice or hints on how to do this?
I was also wondering if there was a way to shutdown servers connected to the outlets, other than just cutting power. Is there any way to start a shutdown. I see that APC makes Powerchute software. Would that work?

Hi Smalls,
In regards to the scripting question, as long as your PDU has firmware 2.70 or higher, you can use the command line interface built into the rPDU. To access the command line interface, when you log into the PDU via Hyperterminal/Telnet/SSH, use your regular username (apc is default).
