How can you sync this back ups if you do not have the programming disk

If you want to connect the UPS to your computer system, many modern operating systems already have built in support that will let you check the battery level and perform a safe computer shutdown if needed. apcupsd is a third party program that can be used for this purpose under Unix-like operating systems.

APC's PowerChute Personal Edition for Windows is available for download from the APC support web site. Although it may be a newer version, it will be identical to what was on the CD you received with your UPS. The Macintosh version of this software is no longer developed and probably should not be used under current versions of the Macintosh operating system.
