Unable to invert display APC 78xx

My metered PDU display would invert before I upgraded the firmware to the latest version. I have reset the unit to defaults and even downgraded the firmware to 3.7 but it still does not work.

When I press and hold the button to invert the display it cycles a random numbers and goes back to the original display.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
