UPS data points from MIB file

Hello guys,

well am about to integrate "APC Galaxy PW 200KVA, 30-Minutes Backup " UPS into tac vista by using SNMP. The communication protocol which i shall be use for integration of UPS into TAC VISTA (SCADA,Graphics) is SNMP.
i want to know the parameters has to be monitor for UPS integration. kindly please tell me the names of parameters/data point which has to be integrate in TAC VISTA. in the MIB file of UPS there are TONS of points but i dont want to monitor all of them tell me about the points which are nessasary for the monotoring of UPS.

its up to you what you definite as critical. if you access any APC network management card and view the event list inside of it under Administration->Notification->By Event, APC defines what we believe is critical, warning, and informational type events. you could use that as a reference but something that is informational to APC may be something critical to you.

if i understand you correctly, you are just asking what OIDs are best for monitoring the UPS.

I would recommend that you monitor the line status (online, on battery, bypass, etc), as well as maybe the runtime remaining & battery percentage, input and output voltage, load current and whatever else may be critical to you. I assume you may also be setting up this snmp NMS as a trap receiver in order to receive alerts?
