We "inherited" a Symmetra with an additional xr frame. What I do NOT have is the communication cable to connect the 2 units. I was told a telephone handset cord would work fine by a couple people, but I have yet to get the frame to even light up the frame number on the front...
Do I need the correct cable and where can I get one if so?
I've tried a different communication cards on both the frame side and the symmetra unit....same results - no frame power and no recognition of the frame/batts by the symmetra...
I can see the 120 v (one batt) coming out on the power connection cable with a meter though.
Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using an RJ9 straight through communication cable? Which Symmetra unit are you talking about? What is the firmware on the Intelligence Modules? Have you tried putting the UPS in maint bypass and reseating the Intelligence Modules, comm cards and comm cable?

If you've never gotten the LED to illuminate, and the cards you have tried have successfully illuminated in other XR frames, then the problem is the XR Frame itself.
