Sending test traps/emails from SSH
Is it possible to send the test SNMP trap from the SSH console or some other programmatic interface? Specifically the apcTestTrap as defined in the powernet MIB. Regarding email, the ability to select a specific profile would be nice, but I'd also accept it if it would email all configured recipients.
The use case is I want to be able to verify periodically that the NMC2 based PDU (or UPS or whatever) has the ability to successfully send SNMP traps or emails. I'm using SNMPv3 with Auth/Priv. It's part of an audit that verifies all devices can properly send notifications. The only method we have to do this now is logging into each device individually and using the web page to generate the tests. OK for a handful of PDUs, but not all that great when you have several hundred.
