SYAF16KRMT Maintenance/Software and AP9619 Network Management Card

I would like to get the system back up to 100% maximum capacity while at the same time being able to take advantage of remote system status/health communication.

From what little I can tell:

I have a bad power module and only one active battery

I could use some coaching...

However, I do have some questions:

How many Power Modules are needed for a full capacity system? Is it usually a 1 to 1 with batteries or can I get by with two good power modules with a backup?

How do I activate battery modules? (I am showing only one OK with the rest Not Installed!)

Does anybody have the software for interfacing with the AP9619 Network Management card?

After looking into this a little more I have found out that R3 and R5 are good slots for batteries. I swapped R4 and R5 and the nonworking battery now works in R5. I have also swapped R2 and R3 with similar results. Looks like I have 4 good batteries!

As far as the Power modules go it is clear I have one bad out of 3. Do I need to get all 5 power modules working for all 4 batteries to be useful?

You do not need to install 5 power modules. The more power modules the greater the load up to 16KVA. Each power module is 4KVA with the fifth for redundancy. 

The number of batteries increase or decreases the available runtime while run on battery.

If the batteries didn't work in R2 and R4 but are fine in R3 and R5  that is likely the bottom Intelligence module is faulty as they monitor alternate battery bays.

If you put the UPS in Maintenance bypass and swap the intelligence modules around,  If the battery modules in R3 and R5 then show as bad, that would be the proof.

I thought I had put the UPS into maintenance bypass mode....

I release the bottom intelligence module... Turns out I don't think it was seated properly anyway.

When I release the top intelligence module the whole server room came down....

Any feedback on proper maintenance mode would be great!

This illuminated several things a contractor is supposed to have done that they did not do! Now those things are done...

After re-seating both intelligence modules properly and locking them into place, my UPS is back up to full capacity!!! 39Mins of runtime.

Hi 

I'm glad everything is back as it should be.  As for putting the UPS into maintenance, we recommend (and I apologise for not giving instruction) Putting the ups into the static bypass via the display first and then using the maintenance bypass switch to the right of the display.

The static bypass requires one of the intelligence modules to be in place as that gives the bypass contactor in the electronics tray the 300v signal to activate it. which is why the heavy duty maintenance bypass switch needs to be used to remove both intelligence modules.
