We have purchase two of these from Dell and I have yet to register here. I was waiting for internet connectivity to the, however, I cannot get them to recognize the NIC inside them. I have gone to the Menu>Display>Advanced>Communication as I have read a similar issue in the forums. However, under the Communication it says ModBus. It was disabled, but even enabling this feature does not bring up the NIC at all. Please help.

If the information I provided offered the insight you needed. Please do mark that reply as a solution even though it wasn’t what you wanted to hear about (Why) you couldn’t reach the UPS. 👍

Without knowing what NMC you have in place along to where you connected the Ethernet cable.
I’ll provide some high level information that I hope resolves your question. There are three ports on the back of unit.
One RJ45 is covered by a black plastic cover. This specific port is not enabled and doesn’t work! 🤦♂️
The other port that looks to be a RJ45 is in fact a RJ50 Serial port. The one next to it is a USB port both are intended to be used to connect to a computer system running APC Power Chute software or other third party software.
Another port is green and has a cloud symbol. This specific RJ45 port is intended to connect to the APC Smart Connect Cloud Portal Service. All settings, configuration, metrics can only be accessed, managed through the cloud.
If you have purchased or installed a NMC (Network Management Card) which goes into a rectangular slot. Everything is local to the network as it relates access, control, management, metrics.
Based on the above what have you connected to???

Dell has messed up my order for the Servers and I feel now they have done the same for these UPS's. I purchased a NMC on both of them from Dell. I don't see this cloud or the NMC. I only see the first two that you speak about. I am plugged into the non-serial port and thought that would give me access..
I guess I am going to have to call support and get that coming to me. Appreciate the knowledge and will follow up if there are no other issues. Thank you

Well, it looks like Dell messed up on this order as well. I asked for a Network Management Card for the devices, but your description indicates they were not installed.
I will have to get back with support and if anything else is needed, I will ask here again. Thank you.
