Looks like APC needs to release a firmware update for this problem. The fan on the SRT1000XLA runs constantly, and it reports an internal temperature of 27C. Our server is much larger and manages to have quiet fans, unless load requires them to spin up faster. The SRT1000XLA isn't charging batteries or supporting a load, and its internal temperature is only 27C (80F), the air leaving the unit is cool. So why is the fan running?

Hi,
Sorry for the inconvenience. The unit does not have an adjustable fan and should not be uncomfortable loud. Please contact local support 800-555-2725 and select option 1 for Smart-UPS support.
