Hi there.
I have a question about shaking test or simulation earthquake shaking test and its efficacy to the APC Racks or InRow Cooling environments. Is there any video that capture these moments?
I want to know what would be done on a APC Rack when shaking by earthquake power !!!
If there is any video references please reply me its LINKS.
Regards,
Matthew Nq

Hello Matthew. I can speak for the NetShelter cabinets. I'll ask someone well versed in InRow Cooling to also reply.
The NetShelter SX cabinets are rated to be installed in an IBC High Seismic Area. It requires the use of AR7701-S seismic bracket and floor anchor bolts. We don't sell the bolts but the specifications can be found in this document Structural Calculations for Seismic Anchoring: http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/SNEL-8C7UQS/SNEL-8C7UQS_R4_EN.pdf?sdirect=true IBC requires calculations, not a shake table test. The NetShelter SX cabinet is available in 24U, 42U, 45U and 48U. It's available in 600 and 750 mm widths, and 1070 and 1200 mm depths.
We also offer the NetShelter VX Seismic cabinet that's NEBS GR-63-CORE Zone 4 compliant. This approval does require a shake test to be performed. I'm unaware of any video of the test. The NetShelter VX Seismic is available in 42U, 600 mm wide and 1070 mm deep: AR2144BLK. It's also available without sides: AR2145BLK.

Hello Ross
Thank you because of informative reply.
I have one more question, what's the best solution that could be uses on the Earth-quack shakes moments , specially in HOT AISLES or COLD AISLES with the inRow cooling equipment ?
Or is there another way(its better to say BETTER & CONFIDENT way) to solve the shaking issue while earth-quack arrives?

Hello Matthew,
The InRow Cooling products use the pallet bracket for seismic installation. The pallet bracket is the bracket that holds the InRow cabinet to the shipping pallet.
