SMC1500-2UC stuck in SC4 Smartconnect registration step

Hello there,

I just set up a new UPS today and cannot seem to get the device the go past the SC4 step.

I’m a fairly sophisticated networking aficionado so I’ve been troubleshooting to make sure my DNS setting are not getting in the way of resolving the domain you guys list in the support center. One time I did get it to the SC5 step but now since restarting the network interface a few times, it’s stuck in 4.

My firewall isn’t blocking any cyphers and I’m using the ethernet cable that shipped with the device. I’ve seen on Reddit that someone had to use a different cable to get this to work. Someone else was thinking that a port forwarding firewall rule was required but I don’t think this is the case, is it?

Anyway, would love some help with this. My networking equipment is all standard Ubiquiti.
