Every few days my UPS switches to UPS on Battery. This happens when the power to the UPS is not interrupted, so it seems that my UPS is having an issue. What would be causing this issue?

The system is going on battery only mode because either the following is true:
Power Quality: The input voltage, frequency, THD is considered dirty and the system is operating as expected by going into battery only mode.
Power Quality / Transfer Voltage: Both of these settings can be changed to make the system less sensitive to input voltage fluctuations. If the system has been using the default settings this is (NOT) a user defined error vs an actual power quality issue! ☝️
System Fault: In rare cases if the system continues to remain in battery only mode or AVR mode even when the input voltage has been validated to be clean.
This indicates the system is faulty or near end of life. APC recommends their systems be replaced when they approach the seven year service period.

My UPS is less than 2 years old. It is still under warranty. Should I try to get a replacement?

I would recommend you contact APC Technical Support to determine if the system is operating as expected vs the hardware is faulty.
The system is covered by a 2 year warranty so best act now. If you’re very close to the warranty period.
Let me know how it all ends up. 👍
