Since you have not provided any real meaningful information as to what specific model APC UPS is in place. Along with age of the battery cartridge and load applied.
This is a broad statement at a high level.
The operational runtime you see advertised by APC is based on a new cell that is loaded at a specific wattage. The test is performed at the battery manufacturer’s ideal operating temperature.
Since your battery isn’t 100% charged and don’t know the age & load applied who knows?!?
Also the displayed operational runtime you see on the LCD / Power Chute is an estimate. If you have never completed a battery calibration the displayed value will be off even more.
The APC battery cartridge is rated to provide 2-5 years of service based on usage, temperature, and environmental conditions. It’s specified to endure 260 full cycles before seeing negative degradation.
