Recharge time on Symmetra RM 6000?
I have a Symmetra RM 6000 with 3 power modules and 8 batteries. Earlier today, the power went out for maybe 30-40 minutes, which brought my charge % down to 44%. Based on the current rate of charging, it is going to take around 20 hours to recharge from 44% to 100%. That seems excessively long. That would mean it would take maybe 2 days to recharge from completely dead. I tried calling APC tech support, but the guy I happened to talk to was a ***complete ass***, and more interested in spouting his opinions instead of facts, and talking over me instead of being professional. I've usually had good luck with APC tech support, but this guy was really something else. He had no idea how long it should take to recharge, and instead berated me for not having a generator because I shouldn't run my $10K UPS for more than a couple of minutes while a generator kicks in or I'll ruin the batteries. Never mind the fact that I would never have purchased a unit with 8 batteries if I had a generator. Yes, duh, it is bad to run the batteries down. I get it. But, that’s what I bought it for, to keep the servers up as long as possible when the power goes out on the rare occasion it is needed. It happens once in a blue moon, and yes, it sure as heck better be able to handle it. Sorry, I am still a little wound up over that call. It was unbelievable. Anyway, if anyone might be able to provide an expected recharge time, it would be very much appreciated.
