Hi,
I have two times a Smart-ups. And we 3 VMWare hosts.
I have installed a VMWare VMA 5.1 with PCNS 3.01.
When I disconnect the power of both UPS then I see in the PCNS tool
that he start the Shutdown script for Linux.
But there happend nothing.
When I start the script local on the VMA with perl shutdown.sh then all the VM's are shutting down.
(I give also the username vi-admin and the password but it doesn't matter, I try to give the scripts admin rights
instead of vi-admin rights, but it also doesn't matter)
But it worked before, and the script worked also. I think this problem is started after a upgrade of VMWare 5.0 to 5.1.
Does anyone know what to do? I worked now on it for more then two nights, because we can only test it at night.

Hi,
If the recommendation of Techsplosion would not work, I suggest that you contact the support of VMWare. We had an issue like this wherein we have tried everything and it also does the same thing as what you have gone through. It also shuts down the VM Host when you run the script locally, it ended up being forwarded to VMWare Support. There could be some licensing issues with what they have.
