Hi i was testing PCNS and my run.bat script.
If i set delay time 120 sec for ups on battery event and 120 sec for run command duration, from the event log i can see the script running, and my server shutdown right.
UPS has 45 min autonomy if the AC gone, so i have tried to increase this time to 600 sec for both param, but during the night something goes wrong, the script didn't run and the server powered off in wrong way.
What param can i modify to correct this issue?

Hi,
Here are the descriptions of Low Battery and Maximum Required Delay from the NMC help file
Low Battery Duration | Defines how long the UPS can continue to run on battery power after a low-battery condition occurs. |
Maximum Required Delay | Calculates the delay needed to ensure that each PowerChute client has enough time to shut down safely when the UPS or the PowerChute client initiates a graceful shutdown. Maximum Required Delay is the longest shutdown delay needed by any server listed as a PowerChute Network Shutdown client. This delay is calculated whenever the management interface of the UPS turns on or is reset, or when "Force Negotiation" is selected as Maximum Required Delay. "Force Negotiation" polls each client for information on the time it needs for a graceful shutdown. Two extra minutes to allow for unforeseen circumstances is then added to the calculated time. The negotiation can take up to 10 minutes. If you do not select "Force Negotiation", two minutes is used by default as the shutdown delay for all clients. |
The UPS will signal PCNS when it is at low battery and PCNS will start OS shutdown and ignore the command file delay. As stated above the Max Required Delay is the time needed for PCNS client to power down and is determined but the greatest shutdown delay set in a registered PCNS client.
To attach the log files you should select "Use advanced editor" at the bottom of the editor you should see a button to choose file to attach.

Sorry Bill P., you are right, i give you some other info.
UPS Model is Smart-UPS RT 3000 XL
I'm using pcns 3.1.0. Build 4512 for windows 2008r2 (x64)
NMC model is AP9617 (can i read the firmware only through serial connection?)
My shutdown delay is 600 sec (10 min), and low batery duration only 2 min, i'll try to increase the low battery duration.
As you have wrote the low battery duration should be greater than or equal the shutdown delay (from the user manual Low Battery Duration is the time from low battery signal until load is shutdown, but when start the low battery signal? when start the command file execution?
And why is considered low battery duration parameter and when maximum shutdown time?
Why i can't attach my log file? i can select my log but they are not attached to the message.
